Permit Options and Prices

The following annual permits will be available June 17, 2008 but will not be valid until July 1, 2008; prices good from July 1, 2008 through June 30, 2009.
Many of the annual permit prices are prorated throughout the academic year. Please contact the office of Parking Services at (314) 935-5601 for more information. Red Faculty/Staff Permits are available at the annual rate of $960.00 and are valid in red, yellow, or brown parking zones. The red permit is restricted to faculty and staff only. Permit is not valid in blue zones during academic sessions but is valid in blue during specified break periods as outlined in the parking enforcement calendar for 2008-2009. Parking is permitted in the Danforth University Center Garage at any time; permit-holder's Washington University ID card must be swiped upon entry and exit of the garage. Red Permits paid by monthly payroll deduction must be returned to the office of Parking Services to stop future deductions. For permits paid in full by cash, check, or credit card, prorated refunds will be issued if the permit is returned to Parking Services.

Yellow Faculty/Staff Permits are available at the annual rate of $429.00 to faculty and staff and are always valid in yellow and brown zones. This permit is valid in blue only during specified break periods as outlined on the parking enforcement calendar for 2008-2009. Between 5:30 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. weekdays, and all day Saturday and Sunday, permit is valid in certain red spaces (unless marked by 24-hours designation signage). Parking is permitted in the Danforth University Center Garage at any time; Washington University ID card must be swiped upon entry and exit of the garage. Yellow Permits paid by monthly payroll deduction must be returned to the office of Parking Services to stop future deductions. For permits paid in full by cash, check, or credit card, prorated refunds will be issued if the permit is returned to Parking Services.

Yellow Student Permits are available at the annual rate of $429.00 to commuter students and are always valid in yellow zones. The student yellow permit is never valid in brown or blue zones during academic sessions but is valid in brown and blue during specified break periods as outlined on the parking enforcement calendar for 2008-2009. Between 5:30 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. weekdays, and all day Saturday and Sunday, permit is valid in certain red spaces (unless marked by 24hour designation signage). Permit is not available to residential students. Parking is permitted in the Danforth University Center Garage at any time; permit-holder's Washington University ID card must be swiped upon entry and exit of the garage. Yellow Permits are not available to residential students. Prorated refunds will be issued for permits that are returned to the office of Parking Services. No refunds will be issued for student permits after Spring Break.

Blue Residential Permits are available at the annual rate of $429.00 to residents of the on-campus fraternity houses, Millbrook Square Apartments, and the Village only. Permit is always valid in blue zones. Between 5:30 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. weekdays, and all day Saturday and Sunday, permit is valid in yellow, and certain red spaces (unless marked by 24hour designation signage). Parking is never allowed in brown zones during academic sessions but is valid in brown during specified break periods as outlined on the parking enforcement calendar for 2008-2009. Blue permit-holders are permitted to park at no additional cost in the Danforth University Center Garage after 5:30 p.m. on weekdays, and any time Saturdays and Sundays; permit-holder's Washington University ID card must be swiped upon entry and exit of the garage. Before 5:30 p.m. on weekdays, a ticket must be pulled upon entry to the garage, and the hourly rate must be paid upon exiting the garage. Parking is never allowed in brown zones during academic sessions but is valid in brown during specified break periods as outlined on the parking enforcement calendar at parking.wustl.edu. Prorated refunds will be issued for permits that are returned to the office of Parking Services. No refunds will be issued for student permits after Spring Break. Visitor parking for this zone is located in lot 28. Metered parking or permit is required. Yellow zone rules apply.

Brown Residential Permits are available at the annual rate of $429.00 to South 40 residents only. Permit is always valid in brown zones; between 5:30 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. weekdays, and all day Saturday and Sunday, valid in yellow, and certain red spaces (unless marked by 24hour designation signage). Parking is never allowed in blue zones during academic sessions but is valid in blue during specified break periods as outlined on the parking enforcement calendar for 2008-2009. Brown permit-holders are permitted to park at no additional cost in the Danforth University Center Garage after 5:30 p.m. on weekdays, and any time Saturdays and Sundays; permit-holder's Washington University ID card must be swiped upon entry and exit of the garage. Before 5:30 p.m. on weekdays, a ticket must be pulled upon entry to the garage, and the hourly rate must be paid upon exiting the garage. Parking is never allowed in blue zones during academic sessions but is valid in blue during specified break periods as outlined on the parking enforcement calendar at parking.wustl.edu. Prorated refunds will be issued for permits that are returned to the office of Parking Services. No refunds will be issued for student permits after Spring Break.Visitor Parking for this zone is located in Lot 58. Meters must be paid, or a parking permit is required. Off-Site Permits (Faculty, Staff, Student) are a great, low-cost alternative to parking on the Danforth Campus. Off-Site Permits are available to Danforth Campus faculty/staff and students for the annual rate of $15.00. Permit is valid in the West Campus Parking Garage on the fifth and sixth levels only, and on the North Campus along the north side fence. At both the West and North Campus, signs are posted to designate these areas as special permit zones. Shuttle and MetroLink service is available to the Danforth Campus from the Off-Site parking locations. Employees at the West and North Campus locations are not eligible to purchase the Off-Site Permit. Between 7:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. weekdays, and all day Saturday and Sunday, permit is valid in brown, blue, yellow, and certain red spaces (unless marked by 24-hour designation signage). Off-Site permit-holders are permitted to park at no additional cost in the Danforth University Center Garage after 7:00 p.m. on weekdays, and any time Saturdays and Sundays; permit-holder's Washington University ID card must be swiped upon entry and exit of the garage. Before 7:00 p.m. on weekdays, a ticket must be pulled upon entry to the garage, and the hourly rate must be paid upon exiting the garage.

Evening Red Faculty/Staff Permits are available at the annual rate of $100.00 to faculty/staff only. Permit is valid in red and yellow zones only from 3:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Monday-Friday. On weekends, parking is also allowed between 7:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. These restrictions are in place even during break periods. Short-term parking options may be utilized if weekday parking is required. Evening Red permit-holders are permitted to park at no additional cost in the Danforth University Center Garage after 3:30 p.m. on weekdays, and any time Saturdays and Sundays; permit-holder’s Washington University ID card must be swiped upon entry and exit of the garage. Before 3:30 p.m. on weekdays, a ticket must be pulled upon entry to the garage, and the hourly rate must be paid upon exiting the garage. Prorated refunds will be issued for permits that are returned to the office of Parking Services. No refunds will be issued for evening permits after Spring Break.

Evening Yellow Student Permits are available at the annual rate of $100.00 to students. Permit is valid in yellow zones from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Monday-Friday. Permit is valid in certain red spaces (unless marked by 24-hour designation signage) between 5:30 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. weekdays. On weekends, parking is also allowed between 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. These restrictions are in place even during break periods. Permit is never valid in brown or blue zones. Short-term parking options may be utilized if weekday parking is required. Evening Yellow permit-holders are permitted to park at no additional cost in the Danforth University Center Garage after 4:00 p.m. on weekdays, and any time Saturdays and Sundays; permit-holder's Washington University ID card must be swiped upon entry and exit of the garage. Before 4:00 p.m. on weekdays, a ticket must be pulled upon entry to the garage, and the hourly rate must be paid upon exiting the garage. Prorated refunds will be issued for permits that are returned to the office of Parking Services. No refunds will be issued for evening permits after Spring Break.

After Hours Permits are available to faculty, staff, and students at the annual rate of $15.00. Permit is valid in yellow zones from 9:00 p.m. until 7:30 a.m. and in certain red zones (unless marked by 24-hour designation signage) from 9:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. The After Hours permit is never valid in the residential areas or outside of the hours outlined. This permit is non-refundable.

Summer Permits are available to students for the cost of $125.00. Permits are valid in yellow zones, and yellow student permit guidelines apply. Permit is valid from the day after Commencement to August 30, 2009. Parking is permitted in the Danforth University Center Garage at any time; permit-holder’s Washington University ID card must be swiped upon entry and exit of the garage. A refund of $62.50 will be issued if the Summer Permit is returned to the office of Parking Services by July 1.

Official Business Permits are available at the annual rate of $420.00 and are valid in any authorized parking space (except disabled) for up to two hours. This permit can only be displayed and purchased by departments and outside vendors. When the Official Business permit is displayed by a WUSTL employee it is not valid unless displayed with a valid annual or short-term parking permit.

Motorcycle Permits are available at the annual rate of $15.00 and are issued for motorcycles, motor scooters, and motorbikes, all of which must be registered with Parking Services under the same conditions as other vehicles, and are subject to all University parking regulations. Motorcycle permits are valid only in areas designated for motorcycles. For the safety of pedestrians, motorcycles, motorbikes, and motor scooters may not be driven on campus walkways. Motorcycle parking is not permitted in the Danforth University Center Garage, and the motorcycle permit is non-refundable.

Short-term Passes (monthly, daily) are available to faculty, staff, students, and visitors, and must be used in yellow zones. Monthly permits are available for the cost of $100.00, and must be purchased in person at the office of Parking Services. Daily scratch-off permits are available for $5.00 and may be purchased at the office of Parking Services or at the Campus Bookstore. Daily permits are not valid in the Danforth University Center Garage. Short-term parking permits are non-refundable.
